I really love this city. It's relaxed, sophisticated and a delight to just walk around. I got very lucky the December weekend that I was there: the first day was icy cold but with a beautiful, low sun; the next day it snowed, with gorgeous, full flakes – and Tivoli Gardens became the closest to a wonderland that I'm ever likely to experience.
One particular thing that stuck with me from Copenhagen is the way almost everyone cycles everywhere – and then just leaves their bike propped up against a wall while they go shopping, or even go into work for the day. Few bother to lock them up as bikes rarely get stolen. That says a lot about the society – the sort of society that I'd like to see in Britain, but almost certainly never will.
