Peak District

This was the first national park in the UK, yet it remains one of the most rewarding to spend time in, due perhaps to the wide variety of landscape, towns, villages and footpaths to discover. With a generous range of tourist hotspots and history – mining and quarrying, its part in the Industrial Revolution, and the Kinder Trespass of 1932 – it has something for everyone. Then there's the wealth of photographic opportunities – most of which I've yet to explore.
